Starting on November 16, the Waterville Area Soup Kitchen will be handing out free meals on Monday and Wednesday at the following locations:
Veterans Memorial Park & Head of Falls:
11:00 am - 11:30 am
Green Street Park & David Kenneth Quirion Memorial Park:
11:30 am - 12:00 pm
Starting on Nov. 16, to-go bags containing sandwiches and a cold side will be available for pick-up by community members at these times. However, meals will soon consist of a hot dish such as a soup, stew, tenders, or macaroni and cheese. This service is made possible by the generosity of St. Mark's Episcopal Church who has allowed us to use their kitchen to prepare meals for distribution until WASK can officially open its doors to indoor dining.
Keep an eye out for our new banners at each distribution site:
On Tuesday and Friday, the Evening Sandwich Program at the Universalist Unitarian Church at 69 Silver St. will be open 3:00 - 4:00pm. Bags containing four sandwiches, fruits, and vegetables will be available for pick-up. This program was temporarily suspended due to the Coronavirus but resumes this week.
